Very expected game when 11th rankedDBaK (6-16) was edged by fourth ranked Sparta (14-8) in Plzen 50-49 on Saturday. Sparta held DBaK to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 29.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Strangely DBaK outrebounded Sparta 52-39 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Canadian center Julia Vydrova (181-2002, college: Regina) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Veronika Vojtikova (170-2004) accounted for 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Sparta players scored in double figures. Tereza Jandova (-2005) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Anna Belacova (174-2008) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for DBaK in the defeat. DBaK's coach Libor Zenisek rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Sparta . They moved-up to third place, which they share with Zabiny Brno B. DBaK lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost.
